Marie is a registered yoga teacher and has certification in Vinyasa yoga. Her goal, as a yoga teacher, is to entice her students to fall in love with yoga, like she did. All her life, she has been interested in keeping active and fit. As a result of natural aging, she was subtly losing her range of motion and flexibility, which she noticed in the simplest daily actions, her careless ease, had become more deliberate and sometimes painful. After a few yoga classes, Marie found more energy, less pain, improved strength and flexibility and as a result more confidence with her health and wellbeing. Marie would love to provide this gift of wellbeing to others.

Practicing yoga has also beautifully supported her development as a social worker. For the past decade, she has worked with survivors of domestic violence/trauma and been witness to its devastating effects on people's mind and body. Yoga has helped her to support healing in her client's lives. As a yoga teacher, she aims to foster growth and facilitate an increased self-awareness in her students by safely encouraging them to move past their comfort zone and try new things! She is also a licensed social worker and certified in Trauma-Sensitive Yoga.
